[Lust has a lot of fences to mend and friends to make explanations to. This is one of the harder ones. She knows she left things poorly between her and Heather, but better than it could have been. There's at least a chance to apologize and fix things. She calls Heather from bed, looking more or less like her old self, save a gauntness to her face.]

[She hopes by now Heather's calmed down as well.]

_{[Leaving things the way they'd been left, Heather had a hard time imagining it could have gone worse. She's never seen the kind of damage Lust can REALLY do when she puts her mind to it. But she's not angry anymore-- after learning what she had from Envy, she just feels bad.]

[All the same, there's a certain wariness (and weariness) in her eyes when she picks up. Her stomach is prickling with nerves, even as Lust clarifies why she's calling.]}

I've always had difficulty with strong emotions. It's worse, human. Worse even still when the human body in question is sick and tired and overwhelmed.

You were a very convenient outlet for a great many built up emotions that evening. I was still angry, but I had nothing to be angry directly at. I wish things had gone differently all around, but...

What's done is done. I'm sorry for how I reacted.

I talked to Envy, after, and... I didn't know that he'd told Scar to come talk to you himself. OR told him where we were.

Nerves were hit for both of us. We reacted over strongly.

It's a common assumption that Scar is dangerous and violent, because of his manners, his size, and back home his race. He's a large Ishbalan man, that was more than enough to inspire terror. But he'd never hurt anyone unless he was defending himself. And even then...

[Lust shakes her head. He'd never struck her, even when she sought to kill him.]

I don't know what the societal... atmosphere is like where you're from outside of what you guys have told me. But where I'm from, men can get... weird over bad breakups.

I think some of us are more at ease with them than others.

It's a mixed blessing. I agreed to take care of someone I know's Pokemon - she does likely have the problem you were afraid I did, and is frightened to come back to town - and now I have a dozen evolved Eevees with abandonment issues crawling all over me.

And a Noctowl with special needs.

But it's good to be back in my own bed.

I'm honestly not sure if I should say, much of our conversation was held privately. She's taking precautions, and admits that she isn't sure if she has reason to be afraid or not, but...

I gave up trying to understand the situation. I just told her if she feels frightened, there's no harm in taking precautions, and she is.

And now I'm watching her Pokemon.

I'm glad you're doing that for her though, whoever she is. In situations like that... if your gut tells you you have a reason to be afraid, it's usually right.

It was a small thing. Or so I thought. I picked them up this morning.

They're sweet, for the most part, the household is warming up to them quickly. And it's only until she makes arrangements in another city.
