A couple of them might snap under his feet-- but then his hand will encounter the wall. It might take awhile to find a doorknob... but after bumping into a few gurneys (one of which is much heavier than the others... and if he feels it to see what makes it so, the thing he touches will be soft, fleshy, and still somewhat warm...), he'll eventually find the door...]
