... I've felt this way for a long time.

[Dancing on the knife's edge is an understatement.]

[The truth is that Heather Mason is and has always been on a slippery slope-- and she'd just slid an inch or two back down it, after slowly but steadily hauling herself back up from the precipice that Silent Hill had put her on the edge of.]

[Even if she probably hadn't been going to smash the egg... the fact that she considered it at all is too close for comfort. Even for her. Even though she knows that it's the result of things building up and up and up.]
