Well, in that case, if it's just for emergencies then just learn to ride and keep the saddle in the Item Storage system. So you have it for practice, to stay sharp.

I'd take the extra few minutes to saddle up if I was charging into danger. Or I'd just fly into it, if I were ever useful enough to ride into a fight.
