foolishwren: like what if you tried to sue obama and you just got a letter back saying "no" and he came to your house and did the worm (can you even sue the president)

040. Video/Text

[Guess who suddenly has a LOT more free time after being forcibly given less hours at the department store? Turns out lying about your age to get a full-time job is only funny as long as you're getting away with it. She's not complaining too much, though. Now that the initial post-poverty 'Oh my god I have to get money immediately so that I am not depending on others to feed me I MUST RECLAIM MY INDEPENDENCE' panic has passed, she's actually remembered why she always hated working long shifts anyway. This meant less time spend in the company of the Psycho Bitchmonster of Despair.]

[The video pops on with her in her room, viciously re-ruffling her hair with one hand to return it to its usual flyaway state after it'd been trapped under that stupid clerk hat all day.]

'Sup, Johto.

So uh, I had a question, actually.

You know those blue crocodiles? Um-- Totodile, I guess they're called?

What... exactly are they supposed to eat after they've hatched? I mean, I sort of assumed that 'meat' would be on the menu, but 'Zilla here's kind of been eating... well. Everything.

[Turning the camera away from her face, she pointed it over to the window where, in a patch of sunlight, a happily-snoozing baby Totodile was curled among the remains of something that had once been one of Heather's boots. A short distance away, the other boot lay carelessly discarded with a large chomp taken out of the heel.]

Is.... is this normal?

And should I be pumping his stomach?

[He continues chuckling even as he calls Nuru over] Here, I'll show you what I mean.

[There's a closeup of Quagsire for a second and then... well, a rather close up view of Kisame, who has tied his feet to a branch and does indeed do a couple of sit-ups. Insane, upside down situps that each end in a nice long stretch up to touch the branch he's tied his feet to. Crazy strong and crazy flexible. ...and only wearing pants. At least she didn't catch him swimming, eh?]

[He grins at her when he's facing the camera again, before leaning up to pull the rope away. He executes a neat flip to land on his feet and immediately goes into some stretches.]

I hope you don't mind; I can't let my muscles get cold yet--I'm barely done warming up.

I don't mind at all. This part of training can get a little repetitive, eh?

[Well, the stretches certainly show him off to great advantage.]

[His voice is a little muffled from being in the middle of a stretch but full of cheer.]

Be careful to stretch thoroughly, Heather-san. If you don't you might tear or rip something and then where would you be? If you want to get stronger and not end up getting lectured by a medic it's vital to pay close attention to all parts of a training regimen.

[He finishes and grins wryly] Medics have a way of making you really regret not taking care of yourself, trust me.

[Kisame chuckles and shakes his head as he stands up and rolls his shoulders.]

I thought the same thing when I was your age. Then I tore my rotator cuff on a mission and nearly got killed.

[He picks up a... stick? A really big stick, that looks like it's been carved and smoothed a little to resemble a huge ass sword.]

I changed my training pretty quickly after that. But I'll make sure to bring you some crosswords when you end up doing the same, eh?

Mm, but the balance isn't quite right yet.

[He's a little distracted, because he's swinging it around like a pro. He doesn't seem much effected by the weight and length either, though it can't weigh nearly as much as an actual sword that size]

I've been keeping it out in the woods where I train; they don't come out here at all that I've noticed.

[He executes a move that would probably be enough to cut a person in half if it was a real blade.]

But I put off training for too long, so I need to take the risk.

They would be more effective as a whole if they did.

[Though his tone suggests he doesn't think they are effective at all.]
