[text; march 7th]
.... uh
[Well this isn't a question she expected.]
well hiccup loved dragons
sooooo....... something having to do with dragons??
he was super into 'the neverending story' so maybe that'd be a hit
[text; march 7th]
[Duh.]
but i already gave her one for snoggletog
are storys that never end a taktishin thing to like
[Weird... Glorious tales from Gobber were pretty neat, but if it had gone on forever, Snotlout most assuredly would have lost interest.]
[text; march 7th]
well it's not a literal story that doesn't end
it's a book
that's just its name
it's about this kid who goes to a magical world and meets a dragon and stuff
[text; march 7th]
i guess thats ok then
[Surely it would be cool if it had magic and dragons. He'll just...say it is so that he doesn't have to read it and find out. Yeah.]
thanks i guess
but if she doesnt like it then im blaming you
[...Wait, there was actually something else he wanted to ask, wasn't there?]
oh yea whats a train
[text; march 7th]
who are you talking about, anyway. all you said was 'a girl version of hiccup', that's not exactly specific
and a train is a thing you ride to get places
that isn't a dragon
[text; march 7th]
[And this train was presumably...not anywhere near him. Fantastic. This place was so weird sometimes...]
ok but why ride trains instead of dragons
[text; march 7th]
well for one thing you can't sleep and carry giant suitcases with you on a dragon
[text; march 7th]
[Never mind that he doesn't know what a suitcase is, either. Hookfang can handle it.]
[text; march 7th]
dude if you fall asleep and slide out of your seat on a train, you just hit the floor
if you fall asleep and slide off a dragon thirty hundred feet in the air, you just die horribly
also trains carry like hundreds of people at once too so it's like, an accessibility thing since not everybody has a dragon
[Actually even she doesn't have a riding-size dragon but she's not gonna say that because she has a feeling this guy would take it the same way your average person would take someone saying 'I still wear velcro shoes and can't figure out how to get past the baby-gate in front of the stairs'.]
[text; march 7th]
[SO THERE, HEATHER.]
but i guess its ok if it carrys that many people
[text; march 7th]
i see the word 'almost' and that to me is pretty concerning
[text; march 7th]
[Ah yes, maturity.]
sometimes i dont need catching ok
[text; march 7th]
actually now that i think of it you not being caught all the time explains some things
[text; march 7th]
[Right? Right.]
[text; march 7th]
it also explains why you can't spell 'awesome' or 'sturdy'
[audio; march 7th]
After a good long think, Snotlout switches over to the voice function for reasons completely unrelated to being called out and also totally not because he has a baby tantrum expression. Which Heather can probably tell anyway from his tone.]
Not like spelling matters! You knew what I meant, so whatever! That's good enough.
[audio; march 7th]
Yeah, see, normally I don't comment on it, buuuuut we were talking about dragon-riding carrying a risk of blunt head trauma, so it was kinda on topic.
[No, Heather, actually you're just a jerk sometimes.]
[audio; march 7th]
...Well, she was still wrong.] Reading and stuff is just boring! No one needs that. And if you can't handle a few measly falls or a good bludgeon or two to the head, then you're basically useless anyway. Don't even bother.
[What was he trying to argue again...?]
[audio; march 7th]
[Well, actually, you can probably get by without it, if we're being honest. Literacy isn't exactly a requirement for Pokemon training, even if it might help.]
[Perhaps this occurs to her, so she rolls her eyes and sighs.]
Were we even talking about anything or are we just shooting insults back and forth at each other?
[Actually Heather YOU'RE THE MAIN ONE DOING THE INSULTING how old are you, eight]
[audio; march 7th]
[...Uh. Hmn.]
Never mind! [WHAT WAS THE LAST SENSIBLE POINT HE REMEMBERED?] I don't think I'm by a train, so I have to go look for the...book...
[...After he was just saying reading is dumb, great.]
It'd better be really good!
[audio; march 7th]
Good enough?
[audio; march 7th]
Yeah, fine...
