_{[When the feed flickers on, it's first displaying a somewhat unsteady view of Heather's back. Occasionally it swivels back and forth shakily-- showing a blurry view of what looked like a lot of cracked eggshells. There were a few towels lying crumpled on the floor, as well. Her voice, muffled and slightly blotted out by the constant clicking and rattling noises resulting from the Totodile claws that are grappling to keep hold on the camera.]}

--thought you weren't gonna make it before the first day've the New Year was over. Guess you like cuttin' it close to the wire, huh little guy?

_{[There's something small but fuzzy and ragged-looking draped over her shoulder, jostling slightly as she rubs it down with a towel.]

[It's white, mostly-- with spiky, damp hair and something indistinct sticking out of its head-- something black and sickle-like. A reaper-y blade.]}

Guess it's appropriate, though.

_{[She sits back and the camera's view scurries forward a little bit, swiveling upwards insistently. Catching sight of it (and its carrier-- guess who) out of the corner of her eye, Heather turns with a quirked brow.]}

Wh-- Zilla, put that thing down, you're gonna break it.

_{[She uses one hand to better support the fuzzy white thing cradled against her shoulder and makes a sort of halfhearted grab for Godzilla and the 'Gear with the other-- he dances out of reach, but she does hit a button and the Pokedex function comes online.]}

ABSOL, the DISASTER POKEMON. It has the ability to predict disasters and impending danger. Its tendency to only appear before humans prior to disasters has earned it a reputation as an evil omen and often caused it to become a target, leading to the species becoming even more shy and reclusive.

... Predicting disasters, huh.

_{[Curious about the newest addition to their little motley crew, Godzilla inches forward with the camera once again, zooming in on the little creature's face. As the view gets clearer, a single red eye-- the one not obscured by a limp mop of white fur-- drifts open.]}

_{[She scoots behind a lamp post and peers out at the vendor, brows furrowed calculatingly. THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS.]}

[quickly follows, LEEEANING over her to peer over her head at the food cart]

I say we ambush them!

Okay... _{[She hunkered down in a catlike crouch, miming holding a spear in both hands, ready to throw.]}

When I say 'Go' ...

.... GO!

_{[THE MIGHTY HUNTER LUNGES.]}

[WHILE THE OTHER MIGHT HUNTER FOLLOWS

... the poor peanut cart owner looks terrified]

_{[That poor, poor man. There is a small explosion of peanuts as he tosses the little paper cone he'd been filling with them up into the air and takes shelter behind the cart, yelling at them both for horsing around. HE DOES NOT REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THEIR QUEST.]}

[REACHING OUT TO CATCH THE PEANUTS AS THEY FALL]

I've got 'em, Heather!

I've got their defender cornered!

_{[... Yeah, she was... she was menacing the vendor with her imaginary spear. Accordingly, he was staring at her like she was crazy.]}

Now see here--!

[CATCHING PEANUTS STILL, then leeeeaning over the cart to pick out a few and scoop them into a little paper cone]

_{[The vendor blusters for a moment, sending a glare Kaito's way before looking back and forth between them.]}

I hope you two are planning to pay for those!

[Kaito waves a few pokebucks for the vendor to see, before dropping them on the cart and continuing]

Hunters don't pay for their food with money! They pay for it in hard work!

_{[... OKAY, MONEY WAS GOOD. The vendor still looked disgruntled, but he grudgingly stayed put as the two made off with the peanuts. HMPH. Kids these days...]}

[RUNNING OFF WITH HIS PEANUTS it's okay he has more than enough for both of them]

_{[And Heather's running just slightly behind him, throwing back her head to let out a war-whoop. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.]

[And far behind them, the vendor just shakes his head and starts to sweep up some of the spilled peanuts. Kids these days...]}

[aaaand he is sliiiiding forward, taking a seat on a bench and offering her some peanuts]

Mission: accomplished.

_{[She grabs a handful before flopping down on the bench next to him with a whuff of breath.]}

We are the best hunters.

Our people will be pleased.

They would be proud of us. [munching on some peanuts now] If they could see us.

_{[Leaning back on the bench, she tips her head back and lets the nuts in her hand tumble into her mouth.]}

The great ancestors are smiling down upon us from atop their heavenly mammoths.

There's a special place in mammoth heaven for use when we die.

We shall feast upon mutton and blubber and reminisce about the Great Smilodon War with the other great warriors for all of eternity.
