[A crackle of interference precedes her voice, and in the background there's the steady rumble of a Steelix making headway on a dirt path.]}

Totally fell off the face of the planet for a bit there.

Anyway, for those who care, Goldenrod just came into sight over the hill, so Dad and I'll be strolling into town within a couple hours, probably.

I'll be lookin' for a few of you as soon as we get checked in and stuff-- you guys know who you are. _{[She's lookin' at you, Kaito. Dinner plans aside, she still needs to give him that hug.]}

And uh-- Snake, you still in the hotel? I'll heal Solid up at the Center first if you want me to, but otherwise, I'm sure he'll be glad to see his Trainer. Sorry the trip wound up takin' so long.

That's a hell of a long time to be stuck in a place like Johto. You ever think about getting home?

[ Truthfully, Marco wouldn't be disturbed if she said no. He's considered, himself, the possible advantages to staying in a world not populated by parasitic aliens. Johto doesn't depend on him risking his life to save the world, which is nice. ]

... But there's really nothing back there for me anymore.

I'm probably not the only person who that's the case for.

[ He shrugs a little. ] No, probably not. God knows this place is better than home in a lot of ways.

[ Nevermind that the world hangs in the balance back home. Even if Marco can turn his back on that, his friends have consciences, and he can't ignore them. Good thing the ones with consciences aren't in Johto yet. ]

Yeah. Things are pretty ugly back there. This place is a friggin' cakewalk. [ He laughs, not altogether bitterly. ]

... Kinda miss video games, though.

Me and cars are a bad combo. If I live long enough to be able to legally drive, maybe I'll change that.
