003. Video
[It's dark, and the sound of boots on gravel are all that can be heard at first. It's not an out-of-control run like the last transmission, though. After a couple of seconds, the screen turns to show Heather's face, fairly faint but slightly illuminated by the glow of the screen as she walks.]
So uh... yeah. Looks like I finally got to Cherrygrove. Better stylishly late than pathetically never, right?
[Though she looks far from stylish-- still covered in mud and scrapes from the Great Sentret Chase, and though it's sort of hard to tell with the crappy light the screen provides, she looks pretty darn tired too-- rubbing those eyes with a grimy fist. Still wearing an exhausted grin though.]
Seems like a pretty nice little place. More happenin' than that first one... though not by much ...
Anyway... those of you who've been here, are we allowed to crash at those Center places, or are there hotels...? Or what? ... Oh yeah, and if there's not a laundromat, I think I may in fact have myself a pretty epic freakout session because I'm a walking mud pie and it's damaging my calm.

Re: [voice]
And uh... oh. Hah. Right. I keep forgetting there's people from all kinds of places... [Though she hasn't yet worked out that they're all from different worlds.] A laundromat's basically like... uh, a place where there's a bunch of washing machines. You can wash your clothes and shit if you don't have a washing machine of your own... which I guess is kinda the way it is automatically here.
Oh, sorry. I didn't catch your name. I'm Heather.

Yeah, uh... it's like... this hollow box? With a bunch of ... uh, mechanical shit in it, and you put soap and water in with your clothes, and it tosses it around together 'till it's clean. Or something.
Anyway, uh, nice to meet ya, Sango. Did you get here within the last few days too?
Re: [voice]
Aw, nuts... I'm never gonna get the dirt out of this vest...
Anyway. Uh... huh. Well, I just got here a few days ago... are batches of people coming in waves, or what?
Re: [voice]
Eeeeuugh, I was really, really hoping not to have to do that... I don't wanna wear a bra full of tadpoles. [... Never mind that, you know, streams = running water = no tadpoles, but w/e Heather was never a nature expert.] I'm like... really, really not a country person. Ugh.
And yeah, I was sorta wondering why everyone else was so far ahead of me. I guess I don't feel so bad now for lagging.
Re: [voice]
Yeah, figure I will. I might stick around here for awhile. Food's kinda... expensive. And I'd rather not starve on the way up to the next town.
