_{[It's dark, and the sound of boots on gravel are all that can be heard at first. It's not an out-of-control run like the last transmission, though. After a couple of seconds, the screen turns to show Heather's face, fairly faint but slightly illuminated by the glow of the screen as she walks.]}

So uh... yeah. Looks like I finally got to Cherrygrove. Better stylishly late than pathetically never, right?

_{[Though she looks far from stylish-- still covered in mud and scrapes from the Great Sentret Chase, and though it's sort of hard to tell with the crappy light the screen provides, she looks pretty darn tired too-- rubbing those eyes with a grimy fist. Still wearing an exhausted grin though.]}

Seems like a pretty nice little place. More happenin' than that first one... though not by much ...

Anyway... those of you who've been here, are we allowed to crash at those Center places, or are there hotels...? Or what? ... Oh yeah, and if there's not a laundromat, I think I may in fact have myself a pretty epic freakout session because I'm a walking mud pie and it's damaging my calm.

They've got a few meat places here, but they're pretty expensive.

Ugh, really? I haven't spent anything but I noticed none of us have been given that much... I wonder if maybe I should just stock up on cheap junk food so I don't starve on the trip to the next city...

[ grimacing a bit ] I'll tell you now, it's a week to get to the next one on foot. I'm working here just to get some extra money for all of that.

_{[She takes a hand off the Pokegear to massage her temples, letting out a sound that can only be described as 'angry teenage girl noise'. Anyone who's been around one for any length of time has probably heard it.]}

Four days was bad enough. I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to go skipping off back into the wilderness again... You said you're workin'? What kinds of jobs do they have here?

[ as Rise has made that sound quite a few times herself, she understands it very well. ]

So far, I think it's just at the place where they heal your Pokemon, and the Pokemart, where you buy supplies. I'm at that one.

Hnnnggg... Well... I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow. I feel like I got run over by a gang of motorcyclists.

_{[She's sort of considering taking a job herself. She may not have always been the most responsible kid, but she is used to working odd jobs to help out and make a buck. But it's a bit of a stalemate between her reluctance to head off without enough supplies, and her wounded pride at being so far behind everybody else.]}

... Geez, seriously! [ wagging her finger like an admonishing mother ] I know the importance of a good shower and a nice bed, so hop to it! You'll feel about ten times better!

_{[The gesture gets a laugh out of Heather. She's not so tired that she doesn't have a sense of humor.]}
