You might try rigging something that'll let you ride on the underside.

Though given the way this place works, there might be someplace that sells giant owl-saddles.

If you do it right, you could get it to look like a big hang-glider or something.

Very dramatic. Especially if you can manage to get the moon or sun behind you when you land.
