Okay. So. Forgot to say anything about this, but-- back in town. Was gone for awhile and stuff. I miss anything? You guys didn't have too much fun without me, did you?

You can catch Mareep somewhere outside Violet, and I bet there's a lot of Rock-types in Union Cave. But you don't need an elemental advantage to beat him.
