78. [Video/Action for Ecruteak Inn]

_{[It's a fairly common occurrence for Godzilla the Totodile to hijack Heather's 'Gear-- he's sort of had an affinity for filming ever since he first hatched, after all. But apart from his one little act of philanthropy a few weeks back, he's actually been surprisingly absent for the most part, at least in the sense that he hasn't been filming with the 'Gear much, with or without permission.]

[But TODAY when Heather's feed fizzles on, it's not the blond trainer but instead the little blue crocodile Pokemon.]

[His pebbled brows are furrowed, though, and ... are those BAGS under his eyes? Is it even possible for reptiles to GET bags under their eyes? Is Heather just rubbing off on him or what?]

[He seems to be sitting on the little balcony outside his trainer's room at the Ecruteak Inn, stubby legs dangling off the edge between the rail bars. Ecruteak is a quiet town at night, and as such there's none of the loud nightlife that characterizes many late-night city posts. Just crickets, and the occasional sound of people or Pokemon moving about in the brightly-lit room behind him.]

[It's a moment or two before he actually says anything, but the look in his red eyes is deeper and more contemplative than the normally self-centered little animal usually has.]}

... What do you have to do to be a good Pokemon?

_{[AIDAN IS ON THIS. Actually, he just looks a little confused, head tilted and ears pointed forward all attentive as he studies the feed (which Cooper helpfully turned on for him, because that's what he does anytime he spots a pokémon feed these days).]}

_{[The answer Aiden gets is almost pathetically emo.]}

_{[Wow. Yeah, he can feel the emo coming off of Zilla in waves. It has him tilting his head another few degrees, tails moving a little behind him as he thinks about this.]}

...Why?

_{[Aidan is about as blunt as his trainer, yeah.]}

Because I'm selfish, spoiled, and annoying, and I bit my trainer so hard she had to get stitches.

_{[In the months between that incident and now, he'd gotten a bit of a rude awakening on the subject of what the other members of the team thought of him... and just how spoiled and self-centered he really WAS. :(]}

_{[...wow. That's, well, if nothing else, a lot of self-awareness.]}

Well, if that makes you a bad pokémon, why don't you just try being the opposite of that?

_{[YEP. YEP IT IS. Considering he'd spent almost a year being fairly oblivious as to how spoiled he was, it's probably to be expected.]}

_{[Somebody's still a little impatient, even though he knows his flaws now.]}

_{[Aidan gives him a bit of an >_>-face at that and sits up straighter.]}

You sure you're trying hard enough?

_{[Aaand enter nosy-Tricia who just. VERY GRACELESSLY sort of scoots in and looks very very curiously at the feed, but has a similar air of impatience about her that Zilla just expressed.]}

Trying what? What's up?

I've been trying real hard, for months...

I'm trying to be a good Pokemon.

... But I'm not very good at it.

Hey, at least you know you're not all that good, right? That already makes you better than most bad ones. I mean, you could just be all "Oh no I don't need to be better" and then you just might be terrible.

_{[AHAHA she is so witty because he's blue and he's got the blues. Aidan ... rolls his eyes somewhere in the background.]}

_{[SHE IS THE CLEVEREST.]

[Zilla really doesn't look happy with her never-ceasing cheerfulness, however. He's like super upset and it's somehow insulting. >:( But all the same, he repeats his question.]}

What do you have to do to be a good Pokemon?

_{[SHE IS A GENIUS. She should do stand-up.]

[But she can also come up with a surprisingly serious face as she very suddenly ... scrutinizes him. All up close and personal with the Gear. Then she pulls away, seemingly satisfied with whatever it was she was looking for, and sits down proper next to Aidan. Looking like she's got a serious statement coming ...]}

You do what your trainer says.

_{[Then the toothy grin is back. Yeah, she can't do without that for too long. Aidan chimes in;]}

That is part of it though.

_{[The Totodile spreads his arms expressively, though-- apparently the 'Gear is balanced on his knees and being held up with his tail.]}

But... she doesn't ask me to do anything!

She hardly talks to me anymore.

_{[CAN YOU FEEL THE EMO GUSHING OFF OF HIM? CAN YOU?]}

_{[... D: THEY BOTH CAN. Aidan moreso than Tricia, but she finally sombers up, because woah, THAT is a problem if she ever heard one.]}

Maybe you can ... cuddle with her or do things for her to show that you're sorry? Cause if she's not talking to you then you must've done something really wrong, Blues, right?

Yeah ... but she didn't put you away into the "computer". I think that's a good thing.
