You ever have that Pokemon that's kind of like looking into a mirror? Is it flattering? Well, maybe sometimes... but probably not in this case, where the Pokemon in question is a small feathered black football that steals anything that isn't nailed down.
For better or worse, having Wren around is like having a living snapshot of Heather's early high school years. Mischievous, a bit of a klepto, and frankly too smart for her own good, this playful corvid is the terror of Heather's team, and PROUD of it. Her egg was a Valentine's Day gift, but Wren will tell any Pokemon who listens that she was born at midnight on Halloween and hatched out of a pumpkin.
Despite the perpetual flood of trouble the Murkrow causes, Heather is very fond of her. Wren is a constant source of amusement, whether it's her antics or her 'big-dog' mentality-- in addition to just being a trickster, Wren is also full of bravado and total confidence in her own cleverness and charm. It's not entirely unjustified; while she doesn't have any fancy egg moves or even particularly great stats, Wren is scrappy, streetsmart, and an alarmingly-good pickpocket. Taking her out in public is always a gamble-- either she could delight local children with her impeccable mimicry, or she could fill Heather's backpack with stolen lighters at the PokeMart and then make farting noises at the security guards who stop them on the way out. Heather spends about 75% of the time scolding her and the other 25% encouraging her for the sake of a good laugh.
Speaking of laughs, out of all of Heather's Pokemon, Wren is the only one who can speak English! Which she does. Frequently. And often obscenely.
Like a small child, Wren has a knack for picking up exactly the WORST words and immediately running them into the ground. Even worse, she religiously follows the Roger Rabbit rule when it comes to actually displaying this skill-- she will utilize her linguistic talent just enough to make a situation funny (to her) and usually no further. So... your chances of getting a good conversation out of her are slim to none (even though she definitely understands every word you're saying), but she will absolutely wait for you to discretely pick your nose before screaming "BOOGER ALERT!!" loud enough to wake the neighbors. Or teach your Cleffa how to say "motherfucker" and "bonerfart" the second you turn your back.
With such an, ahem, sparkling personality, it's no surprise that the rest of Heather's Pokemon are starkly divided into either camp "Haha, classic Wren!" or camp "I will be watching with popcorn when someone finally turns her into a feather-duster." Although no one on the team is 100% safe from a Wren prank, Cleo is her favorite target purely because the Persian is the most openly enraged about Wren's very existence.
On the other side of the fence, Wren is, astonishingly, one of the only Pokemon on the team to have a confirmed sweetheart. And Murkrows mate for life! If Birdy McSwearwords can do it, so can you. #loveisreal #bfstandsforbirdgirlfriend
